St. Michael's Church of England School

Love - Serve - Grow

"Working together for the good of all"

WELCOME FROM THE HEADTEACHER

It is my privilege to welcome you to St. Michael’s, a flourishing Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary School where every child’s unique light is celebrated and nurtured. Rooted in Christian foundations, we are committed to living out our mission:

“St. Michael’s Church of England School, established upon Christian foundations and living out the Christian faith, is committed to providing every child with an excellent education.”

Our vision inspires us daily:

“We serve our community through the values of humility, gentleness, and compassion, where every child can flourish academically, personally, and spiritually, guided by the wisdom and love of God.”

This vision comes alive through our three key values: Love, Serve, and Grow. These values remind us of how we can use our head, our heart, and our hands to live with purpose and to flourish together.”

Anchored in these values, we believe every child is a precious gift from God, destined to flourish academically, spiritually, and personally. Our dedicated staff and vibrant curriculum create opportunities for children to explore, discover, and develop their God-given talents. From hands-on learning in science and the arts to moments of reflection in faith, we aim to ignite a lifelong love of learning and nurture each child’s unique potential.

Our motto, “Working together for the good of all,” reflects the importance of partnership between our school, families, and the wider community. We are supported in this mission by our dedicated Governors, whose expertise and guidance play a vital role in shaping the direction and success of our school.

Equally important is our close relationship with St. Michael’s Church and their wonderful clergy team, who provide spiritual guidance, support, and opportunities for our school community to worship together. This partnership ensures that our Christian ethos remains central to everything we do, helping our children grow in faith, kindness, and understanding.

We take great pride in the warm and inclusive atmosphere of St. Michael’s. Here, children are empowered to grow into confident, compassionate individuals who shine brightly in the world, guided by the enduring wisdom of 1 Peter 3:3-4 (NIV):

”…your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”

We also celebrate the invaluable contributions of our Parent Teacher Association (PTA), a passionate group of parents who enrich our community through their tireless efforts. Their work brings families together and enhances every child’s experience at St. Michael’s.

If you are considering joining our St. Michael’s family, we warmly invite you to come and experience the joy and vibrancy of our school. To arrange a visit, please call us at 020 8874 7786 or email info@stmichaels.wandsworth.sch.uk.

“Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.”Proverbs 22:16
